Shea MacDonough

Accomplished Performer with a Passion for Stage and Screen

Shea MacDonough has been performing since she was 10 years old—it’s simply what she loves. She had a leading role in Ben O’Bryan’s gritty short film Lake Boga, playing a sassy bartender with a dry sense of humor. She also starred in the feature film Monster Pies (dir. Lee Galea) and performed in Playlist at Red Stitch Actors Theatre.

Her diverse career includes short film and commercial projects for the Department of Health & Community Services, as well as hosting Club Wild Dance Parties at Arts House, North Melbourne Town Hall. She is also an active Committee member of Freeza.

Shea trained with Ignition Theatre at NMIT, where she was mentored by Leesa Nash in stage and lighting. A longtime member of Rollercoaster Theatre, Shea has been an integral part of the ensemble for many years, bringing her passion and experience to every performance.

Acknowledgement of Country

As storytellers, we acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, the traditional owners of the land we gather on. We’re grateful to create on this land, knowing storytelling has been part of its history for thousands of years. It has held cultures and communities long before us, and we honour the strength, wisdom, and resilience of Elders who continue to care for it today. We recognise the impact of colonisation and the absence of a treaty, and we commit to amplifying the voices of First Nations peoples and working towards truth, justice, and reconciliation. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
