Hunt or Be Hunted

Hunt or Be Hunted is a raw, daring exploration of fear, self-discovery, and the invisible forces that shape our lives. Set against a backdrop of shifting realities, this immersive performance invites the audience to witness a group of individuals grappling with their inner darkness while navigating the chaos of the modern world.

In a series of interconnected scenes, the ensemble tackles the complexities of survival, vulnerability, and the pressure to conform. From the chilling sensation of being watched to the quiet struggle of self-realisation, Hunt or Be Hunted challenges the boundaries between the physical and psychological realms, urging us all to confront the darkness within, and the choices we must make when faced with it.

Through striking movement, layered dialogue, and a pulsating sense of unease, this piece pushes the limits of what it means to be alive in a world that’s always hunting, yet often too afraid to stop and truly see.

Acknowledgement of Country

As storytellers, we acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, the traditional owners of the land we gather on. We’re grateful to create on this land, knowing storytelling has been part of its history for thousands of years. It has held cultures and communities long before us, and we honour the strength, wisdom, and resilience of Elders who continue to care for it today. We recognise the impact of colonisation and the absence of a treaty, and we commit to amplifying the voices of First Nations peoples and working towards truth, justice, and reconciliation. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
